Amazing how fast time goes by, especially when you look back, not so much when you are waiting for events to happen. In December we had all of our inspections completed Alberta Health, Rocky View Building Codes and a Emergency & Fire Inspection. A couple of items to deal with, nothing that we did not know already. They are now scheduled to be completed in the next two weeks.
With a little luck we may have all the required permits and certifications in place by the end of January, maybe beginning on February 2024.

Marketing and Advertising has started, We are using the Web and it’s ability to reach a large traveling community from all over the world.

We are into the final stretch of being able to OPEN the Luxury Roundhouse Grotto Staycation Resort. Compliance items have been addressed all that is left to do is the final touches and the all important Marketing. There are some very unique options to achieve a marketing and advertising strategy that will work for the Roundhouse Grotto. We believe we have found a system that will not only provide a very flexible way to get our service out there. It will also look after our booking and payment requirements. The power of the internet is amazing.

January 28th 2024

The end January the first month of 2024 and we are still working on the final pieces to obtain certification for a Bed & Breakfast. The Fire Suppression system Sprinkler pump needed a rebuild. We thought it was a good idea to take the time to complete the task. What we did not count on was the only company that would service the pump is in Lethbridge, Alberta, 2.5 hours away. Road Trip.
The other outstanding item was the installation of Smoke/CO2 Detectors into the building.

The Alberta Gaming and Liquor Control Board of Alberta, the Liquor License. The application was submitted and the application was posted for comment. It wil be February before we see the next step to have the Roundhouse Grotto allow our guests to enjoy Wine and Spirits.

We are headed into February if all gets completed we will be able to officially open in March, less our Aquatics features, that is another story, stay tuned.
