As we move into November thoughts of time passing quickly and our determination to to do a soft opening in January 2024. We are busily organizing and implementing our Emergency and Fire Plan. This of course needs to meet the requirements of our Rocky View County Emergency and Fire response and certification entities. We are scheduling our inspection to occur before the month of November is finished. Once inspected, and certified Permit issued we can then move onto Alberta Health Food Handling Certification

We have been pounding the keyboard to create the Roundhouse Grotto Policies and Procedures. From Emergency and Fire to how we will treat our guests. There is an abundance of information out there, best practices, hospitality standards. We do want to make each Policy and Procedure our own, delivering the level of service that we feel will bring our guests back time and time again. We will ensure that we are ready for January 2024 when we hope to welcome the first guest.

Fire & Emergency there is a lot to consider, the size of the house, the features that it contains. Each has to be considered and addressed to ensure every ones Safety. But if there is still something that goes wrong we will want to have a plan on how to respond. Next week the Fire Suppression contractor is on site ensuring that the sprinkler system meets certification requirements. Once the system is certified we can schedule our Fire and Emergency inspection. Then we can move onto the Health Services inspection for food handling and other relative items. We will be busy between now and the end of the year. The GOAL is to be able to OPEN in January 2024.
