The Rocky View County Development department posted the Roundhouse Grotto Bed & Breakfast application this morning. You can find it at Rockyview.ca September 5th Division 2.
Another step closer to achieving the Bed & Breakfast permit.
We still have a number of regulatory controlled services and amenities that we will have to be inspected and approved by each Authority responsible for the service or amenity. This process is out side of the County of Rocky View, with exception to Emergency and Fire. The Authorities are Provincially regulated and have to be complied with to meet all of the requirements of a Certified Bed & Breakfast in Alberta. Onward and Forward!
A number of Regulatory entities have to be satisfied, the most important is our commitment to being a Good Neighbor
BOTANICAL GARDEN
A update of the Greenhouse and Botanical Garden. The learning curve of the Garden is exciting. To be able to put my green thumb to use again brings a smile. Very early in the stages of learning the gardens care needs, Stan and myself our already talking plans of where the Botanical Garden may go and become. 
All we require is to create the vision and then execute the plan to experience the vision.
September 28th 2023
We have not posted anything this past month, that does not mean that we have not been busy.
September 26th was the last day that a neighbor or other was able to register an appeal to our application to become a Bed & Breakfast in Rocky View Springbank. The Appeal comments process ended at Midnight on September 26th 2023. Apparently if there were any appeals registered we would be advised of the nature of the appeal within a 48 hour period.
We have not heard anything, we are thinking all is good and we should see the Bed & Breakfast Permit in the next day or two.
With fingers crossed, we are thinking, we should see the Bed & Breakfast Permit by October 04 2023.
Continued Research into what we need to have in place to meet all of the regulatory requirements; Fire & Emergency, Food Handling & Serving, Aquatics: Pool Hot Tub X 2, Steam Room and Sauna. A lot of work completed and a lot more to do.
It will all happen with effort and time.
While we are working on the Regulatory Compliance.
